On behalf of the Special Interest Group (SIG) 7 Coordinating Committee—including Associate Coordinator Elizabeth Mauzé, Kathleen Cienkowski, Sarah Ferguson, Maryrose McInerney, and Editor Sue Ann Erdman, I hope you will enjoy this issue of Perspectives on Aural Rehabilitation and Its Instrumentation. I encourage SIG 7 affiliates and colleagues or students who are interested in publishing an article in Perspectives to contact me (jean-pierre.gagne@umontreal.ca) or Sue Erdman (SueErdman@aol.com).
The Coordinating Committee and affiliates of SIG 7 have been directly involved in planning Aural Rehabilitation (AR) sessions for the ASHA convention that will be held in San Diego from November 17 to 19. I would like to draw your attention to the short course cosponsored by SIG 7 and the Academy of Rehabilitative Audiology featuring Louise Hickson and Linda Worrall from the University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia. The title of the short course is Group Intervention Programs in Communication Disorders. Drs. Hickson and Worrall are known internationally for their expertise with this type of rehabilitation intervention. I strongly encourage you to attend.
