A good editor is one who can improve manuscripts with careful review and evaluation. A great editor is one who can teach and guide authors to become better writers. Perspectives on Aural Rehabilitation and Its Instrumentation has been fortunate to have a great editor in the stewardship role for many years. Our Editor, Sue Ann Erdman will end her tenure with this issue of Perspectives and we are grateful for all that she has done. Editors are the unsung heroes of our journals and publications. Editors carefully catch our mistakes in spelling and grammar. They streamline our verbose text and help good ideas that are poorly written to shine. Editors recognize how to convey important information in a concise, articulate manner that is accessible to our readers.
